Mary-Kate Olsen has come a long way since battling anorexia and her days as an acting duo with her twin sister, Ashley. Today, the 24-year-old actress and fashion icon describes her child career as having to be a "little monkey performer" to which she can no longer relate. "I look at old photos of me, and I don’t feel connected to them at all," Olsen told Marie Claire. Though she’s sympathetic, she does not have any regrets. "I would never wish my upbringing on anyone … but I wouldn’t take it back for the world."
It’s been a hard few years for Olsen as she has checked in and out of rehab in 2004 and coped with the death of her close friend, Heath Ledger, in 2008. But getting through the struggles has helped Olsen realize when to ask for help. "I think it’s really important to be able to talk when something’s wrong," she said. "I learned at a really young age that if you don’t talk about it, it can drive you insane." –Natthakan Garunrangseewong
