Marvel’s ‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Adds Jason O’Mara As New Director

Marvel announced on Monday the casting of actor Jason O’Mara to its ABC show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

O’Mara brings to the series a versatility and toughness that can be seen in his performances in other shows like Complications. He has also given voice to Batman in the Justice League animated films.

While details of the role haven’t been revealed, Marvel has confirmed O’Mara will play S.H.I.E.L.D.’s new director. Marvel also says his character is one that has existed since the 1940s.

With rumors circulating that O’Mara’s character will be the original Human Torch, fans can only dream until the series returns September 20.
