Marvel Reveals Phase 5 Of MCU Films & Shows At Comic Con 2022

Marvel revealed its schedule of film and TV releases going into 2024, marking “Phase 5” of the titanic comics-inspired entertainment empire. Phase 4 will be bowing out with the Black Panther sequel, Wakanda Forever, which premieres in November.

Among the upcoming projects, there are new entries in the tentpole Marvel series coming along like Captain America, Ant-Man and Guardians Of The Galaxy. There were also some new series announced following key characters introduced in previous shows. Echo will follow the character of Maya Lopez/Echo after she was introduced in Hawkeye. The hit show Wandavision is also getting a spinoff starring Kathryn Hahn‘s character Agatha Harkness which is titled Agatha: Coven Of Chaos.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige also teased some elements of season 6 which will include a new Fantastic Four and a much-anticipated return to the ensemble Avengers format with Avengers: Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars in 2025.

Feige mentioned during the panel and Q&A that they would be building towards the new Avengers once more, but he also finds it “important that we can have standalone introductory stories like Ms. Marvel.”

Ms. Marvel premiered to positive reception recently, and its star Iman Vellani will next appear in The Marvels with Brie Larson in July of 2023.

In the name of introductions, Marvel certainly is not shying away from premiering or rebooting even more superpowered characters. Blade is getting a new film incarnation in November 2023 with Mahershala Ali set to play the title role, and a whole new team of villains-turned-heroes will appear in The Thunderbolts, coming in 2024.
