Marvel Confirms ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Reboot Series Coming To Disney+

When the Netflix original series Daredevil was canceled after three seasons in 2018, the show’s fans and creators felt that the character had many more stories to tell. Fans got some hope when series star Charlie Cox played Daredevil in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and it is finally confirmed that he’s getting a new series coming in 2024.

When Daredevil first premiered in 2015, fans were skeptical that the MCU would translate well to episodic streaming series, but it was a smash hit and heavily acclaimed from its first season on. Marvel and Netflix’s relationship fizzled out after the middling success of later series including Iron Fist and their crossover attempt The Defenders.

Now, the MCU has a life of its own with a home on Disney+ and shows like Moon Knight and Ms. Marvel prove that fans are more than willing to flock to this streamer for that content.

We don’t know much about the reboot yet, other than it will consist of 18 episodes and begin in 2024. Luckily, Cox will still be cropping up in several MCU properties before then. He will appear with villain Kingpin, played by Vincent D’Onofrio, in the new series Echo. Cox will also reportedly appear in She-Hulk: Attorney At Law this year, a funny choice given that Daredevil’s secret identity is that of lawyer Matt Murdock.

So far, Cox and D’Onofrio are the only confirmed cast members of Daredevil: Born Again. The title of the series is based on the name of the “Born Again” story arc from the Daredevil comic series written by Frank Miller which is one of the most widely-acclaimed issues written for the hero ever.
