Martin Shkreli, the former CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals, released a video threatening Wu-Tang rapper Ghostface Killah. Last week, the rapper insulted Shkreli’s nose calling it “Michael Jackson nose kid” among other comments.
The two-minute video created by Shkreli depicts him with three masked men threatening to remove Ghostface from Wu-Tang’s Once Upon a Time in Shaolin album and calling him “old” and “dumb.” Shkreli reportedly dropped $2 million for the original Wu-Tang album.
“Dennis!” Shkreli shouted in the video, using the rapper’s real name. “You’re not a Ghostface Killah — I’m sorry. In fact, you know, most people don’t ever try to beef with me. Do you know why? Because nobody’s that dumb. At the end of the day, I’m very sorry for you. You’re an old man that’s lost his relevance and you’re trying to reclaim the spotlight from my spotlight.”
Shkreli came under fire after Turing obtained the rights to AIDS medicine, Daraphim, and raised the price from $13.50 per pill to a staggering $750. Last month, the entrepreneur was arrested by the FBI for charges of security fraud and was released on bail.
“You’re my son,” Shkreli continued. “You have to listen to me. I butter your bread, you understand me? Without me, you’re nothing.”
Shkreli also stated that he wants a written letter of apology from the rapper. He then tweeted it directly to Ghostface: “As mentioned in my video, I expect a written apology, @GhostfaceKillah. At least 500 words, no grammatical errors and Shaolin stays intact.”
