Marla Maples Flies To See Daughter Tiffany Trump Saying She Chooses ‘Love…Not Fear’

Marla Maples flew to see her daughter Tiffany Trump on Sunday. Maples has been social distancing in New York City and is grateful she could travel to see her family again.

In an Instagram post, Maples wrote, “I choose love… I do not choose fear… I will walk (and fly) in trust, faith, peace and knowing. If God is for us who can be against us… no one…Grateful to be seeing family on this beautiful day #InLoveWeTrust #flyingagain.” The picture was a selfie of Maples on the plane headed to see her daughter. 

Since Sunday, Maples has shared pictures on her Instagram story, tagging Tiffany and her boyfriend Michael Boulos.

However, Maples has received some backlash for her post and for flying due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns. The CDC continues to caution travelers at this time. A statement on the CDC website says, “Air travel requires spending time in security lines and airport terminals, which can bring you in close contact with other people and frequently touched surfaces. Most viruses and other germs do not spread easily on flights because of how air circulates and is filtered on airplanes. However, social distancing is difficult on crowded flights, and you may have to sit near others (within 6 feet), sometimes for hours. This may increase your risk for exposure to the virus that causes COVID-19.”

One user commented on Maples’s picture, “The choice is not love or fear” while another stated, “God has nothing to do with science.” A third wrote, “So God killed a 100,000 believers but not you?”

Maples has chosen to stay politically neutral while her ex-husband Donald Trump is President. “I’m not in the White House. I have friends on both sides. I will just walk in the middle. I’ll do everything I can to remind people that any type of anger or judgment can truly have such a negative impact on ourselves, and absolutely on our environment,” Maples told the New York Times last year.
