Fans still mourning the recent passing of Entourage have good reason to be cheerful again as longtime Executive Producer Mark Walhberg revealed that a big screen adventure for Vinnie Chase and the gang is most definitely in the works. Rumors have been circulating for a couple of years already – and after the numbers the Sex and the City movies put up it became a no-brainer – but this straight-from-the-horse's-mouth confirmation makes it official.
Speaking to People, Walhberg reiterated his desire to catch up with A-lister Vince, played by Adrien Grenier, and his eponymous crew and maybe wrap up some of those tantalizing teasers the show left us hanging on. Will E and Sloan finally get it together? Is Vince’s whimsical marriage to journalist Sophia the stuff dreams are made of or a disaster waiting to happen? Will Ari take the mega-millions corporate job offered to him at the end of the series finale?
Conventional wisdom would suggest getting this thing into gear sooner rather than later, before conflicting actor schedules begin to make the whole idea unworkable (see Deadwood), and Wahlberg hinted that pre-production is already underway. “It better happen,” he told the magazine. “We’re working on [a movie] as we speak.” Yeah, yeah, yeah, Mark. Tell us what we really want to know! Is Ari going to get his own spin-off?!
