Salling, 33, looked downtrodden Thursday, as he made his way to his car after visiting a local bank. The former TV star was running his errands in the Sunland area of L.A. He was dressed for the outing in baggy camouflage pants, a gray shirt and black sandals.
Salling was arrested Dec. 29, after the Los Angeles Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Unit served him a search warrant and found him in possession of child pornography. He was subsequently released on $20,000 bail.
Authorities were tipped off about Salling’s alleged possession of child pornography by an ex-girlfriend. They have reportedly found upwards of a thousand images depicting children in sexual situations that belong to Salling. Some of the images feature children under the age of 10.
Salling is due in court in a week on Jan. 22 to face the child pornography charges. If Salling is ultimately convicted on the charges, he could face up to five years in prison.
Thus far, Salling has declined to comment on the allegations, and has made multiple outings since his arrest. He is currently set to appear in feature Gods & Secrets. Director Adi Shankar has stated that if the child pornography charges stick, his scenes will be removed from the film.
