Marie Osmond Mourns Son's Suicide

Marie Osmond’s 18-year-old son, Michael Blosil, committed suicide on Friday evening, reportedly jumping from his L.A. apartment building 30 feet to his death. Blosil left a note to a friend of his that referenced his lifelong battle with depression. Blosil’s uncle, Donny Osmond told Entertainment Tonight, “Please pray for my sister and her family.”

Michael was one of Marie’s eight children. She has three children whom she raised with ex-husband Brian Blosin. They divorced in 2007 after 20 years of marriage. That same year Osmond said that Michael was being treated at a rehabilitation center. In a statement, Osmond said, “My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time." –NATASHA ALLOWAY
