Mariah Carey Dating Billionaire James Packer After Nick Cannon Split – Report

Mariah Carey, who split from husband Nick Cannon last year, is reportedly dating Australian billionaire James Packer.

Carey and Packer were spotted holding hands in Capri, Italy Friday, reported Us Weekly. The two are reportedly staying on a yacht in Capri, and will continue their romantic getaway in Cannes and St. Tropez.

“He’s wooing her,” a source told Us.

Another insider claims that the two were introduced by RatPac Entertainment’s Brett Ratner.

“Brett knows a ton of people with a ton of money,” the insider told Us. “He always needs to be where the cash is to finance his film ideas and James has become a friend and Brett knew that Mariah would be a great fit for him. Brett was definitely the matchmaker when everyone thought he himself was going for Mariah’s heart.”

“Mariah thinks James is a very nice guy,” the sourced added. “She trusts Brett’s instincts and is really going to give it a chance.”

Incidentally, earlier this year, Carey and Brett were at the center of dating rumors after they were spotting hanging out in St. Bart’s together. The two, who’ve been friends for several years, quickly shut down the rumors, calling them ridiculous.

“Mariah would never think of Brett in that way. They’re like brother and sister,” a source told E! News.

Cannon filed for divorce from Carey last December, months after rumors of a split first started, following six years of marriage. Together, the two are parents to 4-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe.
