Margot Robbie Steps On The Oscars Red Carpet As Newest House Ambassador Of Chanel

The first-time Oscar nominee Margot Robbie was nothing less than stunning on the red carpet on Sunday.

Following Chanel’s Paris Fashion Week show, the Australian actress was named the new ambassador for the house. It was only fitting for her to wear head-to-toe Chanel on the red carpet of the Academy Awards.

Her dress was a custom design and was handmade by Karl Lagerfeld, the head creative director of Chanel. It was a simple strapless white dress that features delicate crystal strands that are draped over Robbie’s arms and chest.

In addition, she accessorized the ensemble with Chanel Fine Jewelry, a pair of diamond earrings and a crystal-like one-strapped purse.

The I,Tonya star also wore Chanel makeup on the red carpet. Her makeup artist Patti Dubroff used the Joues Contrast Powder Blush on her cheeks to create a radiant glow. She also used a mix of different Chanel’s cream eye shadows to create a custom glittery look. For her lips, she wore a Chanel lip color in Rouge Coco and a Chanel lip blush in the same color.

Unfortunately, while on the posing for pictures, Robbie experienced a wardrobe malfunction as one of her straps detached. However, she quickly saved the day for herself and sewed it back in place after finding a sewing kit.

Robbie definitely takes the prize as one of the best dress on Sunday. She was also nominated for Best Actress for her performance in I,Tonya but lost to Frances McDormand for her role in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
