Margot Robbie Lied To Her Family About Her Nude Scenes With Leonardo DiCaprio In 'The Wolf of Wall Street'

Margot Robbie revealed she lied to her parents about the nudity in her sex scenes with Leonardo DiCaprio in the new film The Wolf of Wall Street during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Robbie worked closely with DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street; she plays his character’s wife, Naomi in the film.

Robbie Denied She Did Nudity

Robbie, who comes from a small-town in Australia, says that at first she told her parents that the role did not require any nudity, but she quickly realized that they would see the film eventually and know that was a lie. Then Robbie changed her tune, saying that there was nudity but she used a body double, fibbing to her family.

“…I thought, ‘The movie’s going to come out and they’re going to see that there’s nudity, so I changed that to ‘It’s actually a body double and they just CGI’d my head onto someone else.’ And my family doesn’t have anything to do with the entertainment industry… and they were like, ‘They can do that?’ And I was like, ‘Oh, technology these days. You wouldn’t believe what they do in Hollywood!’”

Eventually Robbie, who previously started on the short lived ABC drama, Pan Am (2011), came clean to her family and warned them that they might want to read the book the film is based on before deciding whether or not they want to see the movie.

In her complete interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Robbie also talked about perfecting her Brooklyn accent for the film and her past as a spaghetti-eating contest winner.

The Wolf of Wall Street is currently playing in theaters and is nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical.
