Nicolas Malvagna, who hit Bebe Rexha in the face with his phone at her New York City concert, has been arrested.
Rexha was in the middle of her performance when Malvagna decided to throw his phone at her, hitting her in the face and causing her to need stitches.
Security found Malvagna and pulled him out of the crowd and over the barrier.
While they were escorting him away Rexha’s fans yelled “that is assault” and “asshole” at him.
A fan on Twitter captured the whole incident of the man being taken away by security.
Many people commented that the man looked “smug” in the video and were disgusted by his actions.
Rexha updated fans about how she was doing after the incident. She posted a video on her Instagram story of her black eye and stitches. She wrote, “Still making a black eye sexy lolol.”
One day ago she posted two photos of her and how her face is healing. She captioned it, “I’m good.”
The first was a picture of her in a hoodie with a thumbs-up. Her eye looks like it is bruising and three stitches are visible.
The second photo showed her eye without the bandage on it. You can clearly see the damage it did and her eye seems to be swelling a bit.
Her fans commented their support, including Demi Lovato, who wrote, “Love you girly. I’m so sorry this happened to you 😣”
Rexha announced in another Instagram post that she would not be canceling any of her performances. “Although the show ended in an unfortunate way it was still an amazing show in my hometown,” she said. “Thank you so much New York. I love You. The Tour must go on!!! Philly next! Which show you coming to?! #bestfnnightofmylifetour”
