A man in Oregon threw hundreds of $100 bills out of his car window on a major highway.
On Tuesday night, reports of money flying in the air on Interstate 5 in Eugene were recorded by Oregon State Police.
Numerous cars stopped along the road so passengers could look for the money.
Police identified 38-year-old Colin Davis McCarthy as the man who threw the money.

Police questioned the driver about his actions, and he told authorities he just wanted to give money to the people.
McCarthy emptied his family’s shared bank account in cash, and police confirmed he had legal access to the funds.
He estimated that he gave away $200,000.
Police searched where the money was thrown the following morning but found no bills.
“[Motorist] did a thorough job of gathering the loose money as troopers were unable to locate any further currency after the incident,” said a police officer told a local TV station KEZI.
McCarthy will not face any criminal charges and was warned to no longer throw money on a highway since it created a traffic hazard.
