Former first daughter Malia Obama was seen strolling the streets of Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood on Sunday with her new British beau, Rory Farquharson.

The two 19-year-old Harvard undergraduates were seen repping school colors and locking lips last year at the Harvard-Yale football game. Now, it seems, they are sporting their relationship publicly as the pair take on the Big Apple as a couple.

Before attending Harvard, Farquharson was titled Head Boy at the The Rugby School, one of the most prestigious schools in the United Kingdom. His father, Charles, 57, is chief executive of Insight Investment Management Limited, and his mother Catherine, 58, is an accountant. Farquharson studies law and is adamantly opposed to the policies of President Donald Trump, as voiced on his Twitter account.

After a gap year, which Malia spent traveling and interning at the Weinstein film company and the HBO show Girls, she followed in her father’s footsteps in attending Harvard University. The teen celebrity was in the spotlight in November when a video showing her blowing smoke rings was seen on the internet. Chelsea Clinton and Ivanka Trump defended the former President’s daughter, calling for her privacy. The media-spotlight is hotter than ever now that news of Malia’s new boyfriend has circulated the internet.

Though the couple has received some hate on social media, where critics have ridiculed Malia for choosing a “white” boyfriend, most of the response has been loving and supportive. However, public opinion doesn’t seem to faze the two love birds as they explore New York City together on various shopping sprees and dates, making their relationship known to the world with lots of laughter and flirty smiles.
