A male victim was shot late Thursday at a Memphis concert headlined by rapper Lil Baby. Police say it was a premeditated, targeted shooting.
The Memphis Police Department responded to the shooting at the FedExForum arena Thursday night, canceling the concert and evacuating the building.
Lil Baby was rushed off stage once shots were fired.
Clarissa Johnson, a concert attendee, told the news station WREG-TV, “I heard a pop. I’m not sure what happened but I had a suite, so I told all my crew, ‘Get down.’ So we evacuated. Once we evacuated, did a head count. I’m still not sure what happened.”
According to police, the victim was transported to Regional One Health Medical Center and is no longer in critical condition as of Friday. The shooter has yet to be identified, with police questioning how the shooter was able to bring a gun into the arena.
