Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd are expecting their first child together.
The Dancing With The Stars cast members got engaged in December and are now expecting a new addition to the family.
“I can’t wait to provide this baby with the tools to become a beautiful, kind person,” Chmerkovskiy told People. “And they’ll have the best sneaker collection.”
The professional dancers learned about the baby a few weeks into season 22 of the show. Murgatroyd said “I was so sick” while competing but went on to win with her partner Nyle DiMarco.
She is now in her second trimester and traveling with Chmerkovskiy, who is starring alongside his brother, Valentin, in Maks & Val: Live on Tour.
“I’m looking forward to nurturing something and just having the baby be the center of our world,” said Murgatroyd. “I’m looking forward to putting all our energy into this beautiful soul.”
The baby is expected to arrive in January.
