Madonna is finding beauty in her scars and body imperfections. The 62-year-old pop star recently shared multiple selfies showing those scars off on her Instagram story. She displayed her surgery scar near her left hip and marks left my cupping down her legs. Cupping is a form of therapy where heated cups are applied to suction and massage the skin to reduce inflammation.

The photos featured the singer wearing a matching black sports bra with black underwear while adding color to the outfit with her pink hair and accessories. At the bottom of the two mirror selfies, Madonna wrote, #recovery #cupping #beautifulscar.”

In November, the Grammy winner showed off another image of her a bandaged scar on her hip to her Instagram followers. Madonna is wearing a black dress with various bracelets showcasing her legs. “Madame ❌ is a survivor #newmoon #miracles,” she captioned the photo.

Last December, Madonna had to cancel the last North American show of her Madame X Tour after she suffered an injury and couldn’t do a segment in her show that required her to climb a ladder.

“As I climbed the ladder to sing ‘Batuka’ on Saturday night in Miami I was in tears from the pain of my injuries, which has been indescribable for the past few days,” she captioned a video of that moment. “With every song I sang, I said a prayer that I would make it to the next and get thru the show. My prayers were answered. And I made it.”

The “Vogue” singer was disappointed to cancel shows but did not regret her decision to prioritize her health. “I have never let an injury stop me from performing but this time I have to accept that there is no shame in being human and having to press the pause button. I thank you for understanding, love and support,” she said.
