Madonna has announced on social media that she has relocated to Portugal for an indefinite period of time, and has also revealed to fans that she is working on new music.

The 59-year-old multiple-Grammy-winner — who hails from Michigan — had been living in New York, although her spokesperson stated she fell in love with Portugal after completing her Re-Invention World Tour there in 2004.

Madonna posted two photos on her Instagram page over the weekend.

“The energy of Portugal is so inspiring. I feel very creative and alive here and I look forward to working on my film LOVED and making New Music!!!” she wrote in her first post on Saturday. “This will be the next Chapter in My Book! It’s time to conquer the world from a different vantage point!!”

“It’s time to conquer the world from a different vantage point,” she added.

“I used to be a basket case but now I Live in Lisbon!” Madonna wrote as a caption for her other picture.

Madonna is working on a film adaptation of Andrew Sean Greer’s novel The Impossible Lives of Greta Wells, which grapples with time travel and evolving attitudes towards sexuality. The movie is set to be called Loved.

The singer-turned-director told Harper’s Bazaar she is interested in its themes of “women’s rights, gay rights, civil rights,” and “fighting for the underdog.”

This will mark Madonna’s fourth time as a director following the 2013 short film “Secret Project Revolution.”

Madonna also revealed she is working on new music. Her last album, “Rebel Heart,” (her 13th record overall) was released in 2015.
