When Madonna sang that "music makes the people come together" in her 2000 hit, she probably wasn’t expecting cops to join in and bust the party. After a loud house party was thrown at her London home while she was not there, Madonna may be facing fines for a noise complaint. After grumpy neighbors reported a June 27 party thrown by Madonna’s staff members to the police, officers reported that the music and singing was so loud it could be considered "statutory nuisance."
Madonna, who was not present at the party but was listed as the homeowner, could be fined for up to 5,000 pounds (more than $7500 US) if an offence is repeated. The case is said to be unlikely to go to court. –Natthakan Garunrangseewong
