Madonna cancelled a show for the third time in her Madame X residency at Le Grand Rex in Paris on Sunday, two days after falling off a chair during a performance.
“Here I Am——Flesh and Blood 🩸 If only knees didn’t twist and cartilage didn’t tear and nothing hurt and tears never fell out of our eyes………But alas they do and Thank God for this important reminder that we are human,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
The singer, who described herself as a “broken doll” in her post, fell when a chair was “pulled out from under” her. She struggled to walk off stage and reportedly needed help from a backup dancer and a cane.

She returned to the stage after the fall to finish the show, though she admitted it was a struggle.
“I made it thru the show last night but just barely because I hate disappointing,” she wrote.
The singer has cancelled 14 Madonna X dates since the tour started in September because she has suffered from several hip and knee injuries.
The cancellation was announced on her website:
“We regret to inform you that tonight’s Madame X concert at The Grand Rex is cancelled as a result of ongoing injuries,” the post said. The post told fans to “contact their point of purchase for any refund requests.”
She also cancelled Paris shows on February 20 and 25.
When Madonna canceled her Madonna X show on January 27, she wrote this in a note to fans on her website:
“The last thing I want to do is disappoint my fans or compromise the integrity of my show. So I will keep going until I cannot.”
