Madonna Announces Rescheduled Dates For ‘Celebration’ Tour After Hospitalization

Madonna has announced her new tour dates for her Celebration Tour including a stop at St. Paul’s Xcel Energy Center on February 13.

Fans who already purchased tickets can exchange them for a new date or receive a refund on them for them at the point of purchase. The current sale for tickets is up to $570 for one standard ticket.

The North American leg of the concerts will start on December 13 in Brooklyn. She will continue on to D.C. and several more cities.

Fans who have tickets to the August 27 show at Madison Square Garden will be refunded and later be provided with a new link to purchase tickets at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center for December 16 as she was forced to change the location of the concert.

The same will go for people who purchased tickets for her concerts on September 27, 28, 30 and October 1 in Los Angeles at the Crypto.com Arena. The rescheduled dates are August 29, 30, 31 and September 1, 2, 3 and 4.

The following shows have been canceled due to scheduling conflicts Madonna encountered: July 27 in Tulsa, December 22 in Nashville, January 15 in San Francisco, January 18 in Las Vegas and January 20 in Phoenix.

Madonna initially announced her tour in January with a stop at the Xcel Energy Center planned for July 30. The singer was forced to reschedule after her manager Guy Oseary shared that she had been hospitalized via an Instagram post.

“On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several-day stay in the ICU,” the statement read. “Her health is improving, however, she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.”

It was speculated that her hospitalization was due to the “strenuously rehearsing” she was undergoing for weeks in preparation for her upcoming tour. This included 12-hour days where she was rehearsing her performance every day. A few weeks later it was reported that the singer was recovering at her home in Manhattan.

The tour was originally scheduled to being on July 15 in Vancouver at Rogers Arena. She was also supposed to be taking on international stages in Europe on October 14 and later return to the U.S. from December 13 to January 30, 2024.

On August 4, the singer shared with fans on X, formerly Twitter, that she was planning the rescheduled dates and that the news would be announced soon. She tweeted, “Thank you again for your incredible support and patience over these past few weeks! I’m happy to report that the re-routed tour schedule will be coming in the next few days!” She ended the sentiment by saying, “See you soon for a well-deserved Celebration!! 🎉🌈🥳💘.”
