Macklemore and Ryan Lewis took the stage on The Today Show early this morning.
Wrapping up a 14-date U.S. tour, the duo stopped by the show before moving on with their world tour which begins in Norway next Tuesday.
When hosts ask the pair how it felt to perform at 8 a.m., Lewis replied that it was “different,” to which Macklemore agreed was the “politically correct” answer.
“It’s what’s true to our hearts, speaking on issues that are bigger than us,” Macklemore said of their music. “I think that that’s always been kind of the backbone of the creativity.”
The performance that followed included Dance Off and Downtown.
