Macklemore stopped by Sesame Street this week to remix his hit “Thrift Shop” with Oscar the Grouch.

Macklemore, who recently announced he is expecting his first child with fiancée Tricia Davis, appeared on the children’s program on Monday, Jan. 12, to perform a Sesame Street version of his breakout hit.

In the short segment, Macklemore sits comfortably in a trash can next to Oscar the Grouch and raps about how much trash he and Oscar want to collect. “One grouch’s trash, that’s another grouch’s outfit,” Macklemore says.

Mackelmore isn’t the only celebrity embracing the grouchy side of life. Bill Hader also appeared on the program to discuss the word “grouchy” with Elmo on Tuesday.
