Macklemore and his fiancee Tricia Davis are expecting their first child together.
Macklemore, whose given name is Ben Haggerty, and Davis announced the baby news on YouTube amid speculation that the couple was expecting. “We wanted to share the news with you ourselves…Love Ben & Tricia,” Macklemore tweeted out with the video.
“Today the media speculated about some big news in our life, so we decided to share it with you ourselves,” read the text at the start of the short video.
The clip goes on to show Macklemore and Davis hearing the baby’s heartbeat for the first time. It also shows the engaged pair watching the sonogram and then sharing a kiss and holding hands. The video was co-produced by Macklemore’s collaborator Ryan Lewis.
Macklemore proposed to Davis in 2013. She currently serves as his road manager.
