Lynyrd Skynyrd has been traveling around the world for their farewell tour, including Holland, Germany and France, and are now coming to the U.S. for the final leg. The Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour, which began in May 2018 and has featured acts like Cheap Trick and Kid Rock, will end on October 11, 2019, in Tennessee. Songs from the band’s fifteenth and final studio album are featured on the tour.

Lynyrd Skynyrd was formed in 1964, with Ronnie Van Zant on vocals, Bob Burns on drums, Allen Collins and Gary Rossington on guitar, and Larry Junstrom on bass. In 1977, Van Zant, Steve Gaines, who was a guitarist for the band, backup singer Cassie Gaines, and road manager Dean Kilpatrick were killed in a plane crash, while other members of the band survived. The band then went on a ten-year hiatus, and it was reconstituted by Johnny Van Zant with Rossington and Ricky Medlocke, who had recorded with the band during the 1960s.
