The dress Lupita Nyong’o wore to the 87th Academy Awards, which was covered in pearls and valued at $150,000 was reportedly stolen from her West Hollywood hotel room.
Nyong’o’s pearl-adorned dress was reported missing at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, Lt. William Nash of the sheriff’s West Hollywood station told the Los Angeles Times. At the time, law enforcement was made aware of the gown’s estimated worth.
Nash stated that detectives were continuing to investigate the theft and were at the London West Hollywood hotel Thursday. As of yet, police have yet to officially confirm the value of the dress or arrest any suspects.
