Luke Combs Refunds Concert Tickets For Maine Show Due To Vocal Issues

Country singer Luke Combs refunded all the tickets for his Saturday show in Bangor, Maine after he made the call to stop the show because his voice was shot.

Vocal troubles had plagued Combs after his Friday concert. He tried to rest his voice after the Saturday meet-and-greets, but it turned out that it did not help much.

“As of 7 p.m. today, a few hours ago, I realized I was not going to be able to sing as good as I normally do,” said Combs in a video captured by his fans.

Then he “announced that he was still going to perform but, because of the condition of his voice, he did not feel he could put on a real show,” said B98.5, a country music station in central Maine.

Combs later refunded all the tickets for his Saturday concert for all 15,000-plus attendees while he still performed an abbreviated set that lasted over an hour.

He explained that he understands the cost of going to a concert goes way beyond what is paid for the tickets. “Refunding the price of the tickets was, in his mind, the least he could do,” according to the music station.

Combs showed his caring for his fans also the night before at his Friday concert. Some young fans held up signs letting him know how hard they’d worked to buy tickets to the show. One of them was also celebrating his 12th birthday on the day of the concert.

Combs gave them $140 out of his wallet. He invited them backstage, signing hats for them, giving them T-shirts as well as other memorabilia and taking photos with them all.

Combs is currently on his The Middle of Somewhere Tour, which spans North American cities and is set to roll on on September 16 in Green Bay and conclude in December in Oklahoma.
