Luke Bryan Announces International ‘Kick The Dust Up Tour

Luke Bryan announced his 2015 Kick the Dust Up Tour at a special press conference in Nashville on Wednesday.

Kick the Dust Up Tour Press Conference

Bryan, who recently won the title of CMA Entertainer of the Year, made the announcement at Nashville’s Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum Wednesday morning, streaming it live online for fans. The ‘Kick the Dust Up Tour’ will begin May 8 in North Dakota, but what makes the massive tour special for Bryan is that he will actually be playing two shows in select cities. This is the first time Bryan will play two nights in the same city on a tour, and doubles are planned for bigger cities like Dallas, Chicago and Philadelphia.

“The ability to go into a city and stay two nights is something I could only ever dream of. It’s amazing that we’re in this spot, and I can’t thank you fans enough for allowing it to go down,” Bryan said.

Another first for Bryan, the country singer will be playing seven stadiums, including the football stadium at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. Bryan will be the first country artist to play there. “I wanna bring the I.Q., me personally, of Vanderbilt University down for one night there,” Bryan joked.

Kick the Dust Up Tour will also take Bryan overseas, making it his first ever international tour. Hell he’ll stop in the UK, Norway, Sweden, Ireland and Germany with opening acts Randy Houser and Dustin Lynch. Florida Georgia Line and Thomas Rhett will join the tour for the stadium shows.

“We’re excited about going over there, seeing all the sights, and bringing our music across the pond,” Bryan said of taking his tour overseas.

As country music is much less popular abroad, Bryan announced that his tour would take him everywhere, from small clubs to music festivals.

“We are excited to … get out there and give the fans hopefully an amazing, amazing tour and show and something that they will want to come back to for years and years…. We want to make it just a big event for your family. Any time you can announce shows in Nashville is fun, and any time you can announce stadiums and double nights, it’s amazing,” Bryan said.

Luke Bryan To End Spring Break Shows

Bryan also announced that this year would be the last year for Luke Bryan’s free Spring Break shows in Panama City Beach, Florida. Bryan will play his final Spring Break shows March 11-12 and will release one final EP Spring Break…Checkin’ Out on March 10.

When he’s not busy touring, Bryan is set to host the annual ACM Awards with Blake Shelton on April 19 and will be the subject of a new exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in May.

Bryan said he’s excited for his exhibit, telling reporters, “Just five, six years ago, I walked these streets dreaming of being in this situation. My parents used to come to town and I’d take them to the Country Music Hall of Fame. Now that family and friends and fans can come to town and see an exhibit of mine is just truly, truly … exciting.”

Kick the Dust Up Tour is named for one of the handful of new songs Bryan has recorded for his next album. Tickets go on sale Jan. 30.
