Lukas Gage Apologizes To Shania Twain For ‘Unhinged’ Wedding With Chris Appleton

Actor Lukas Gage and celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton were only married for six months when Appleton filed for divorce in November 2023.

On Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Gage talked about his marriage to Appleton, which happened 19 days after they announced their engagement. Rather than traditional wedding attire, the ex-couple donned back fur coats at the altar in Las Vegas. When asked about the ceremony, Gage described his marriage as “manic.”

Gage also said he regretted having singer Shania Twain perform at the wedding, feeling like he “wasted” her time.

“I want to apologize to Shania Twain for wasting her time,” Gage said. “That was unhinged. That was like, the biggest waste of her time. I love you Shania, I’m really sorry about that.”

Gage also apologized to Kim Kardashian, who officiated the ceremony. The wedding was featured on an episode of The Kardashians.

“Look, Kim’s great. She was really sweet to fly us all out and take care of us and pay for everything. Sorry to Kim and Shania . . . so sorry.”

Twain responded humorously to the apology on X, saying, “If you’re not in it for love, I’m outta here!”

On the show, Gage continued to explain that he wasn’t sure why he married Appleton after only two months of dating. The actor claimed he was going through a “manic episode” which continued throughout the marriage.

“I don’t know literally what went through my head,” Gage said. “But we live and we learn.”
