Yandy Smith, the Love and Hip Hop star, married Mendeecees Harris on Monday, May 25 in a live televised New York City ceremony.
Smith and Harris have been on and off for years, and their ups and down have been featured on the VH1 reality series, so it was fitting that the two tie the knot in front of the cameras and famous friends Kandi Burruss, Ray J and Karen Gravano.
Smith dazzled in a Pnina Tornai gown, and was escorted down the aisle by her father, who was on crutches. “You made it down the aisle dad. You’re the best, I know it wasn’t easy but you did it for me. Love you,” Smith wrote on Instagram.
The television special was hosted by Nina Parker, Big Tigger and Stevie J, and included everything from red carpet arrivals to the vows. “You’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever met. I’m honored today to stand here and be your future husband,” Harris said at the alter.
Smith and Harris have two children together, a son named Omere and a baby daughter Skylar, and both were present for the wedding, as was Mendeecees Jr., Harris’ son from a previous relationship.
