Lori Loughlin Reportedly Dropped From ‘Fuller House,’ Daughter Olivia Jade Axed By Sponsors

Not only was Lori Loughlin recently arrested for allegedly partaking in the elite college admissions scheme, but she’s also reportedly been dropped from Netflix’s Fuller House, too.

While there’s been no formal announcement yet, it seems that Aunt Becky won’t be back for the fifth and final season of the show. “Lori is a guest star and was during the previous four seasons. There are currently no plans for her to return to the fifth season,” a production member told TMZ.

This news comes off reports that Hallmark also severed its ties with Loughlin who allegedly “agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000 in exchange for having their two daughters designated as recruits to the USC crew team — despite the fact that they did not participate in crew —thereby facilitating their admission to USC,” according to the 200-page indictment.

In what may possibly be Hallmark’s first tragic ending, its parent company, Crown Media, says it is no longer working with the actress and has stopped development of all productions she’s involved in, adding it was “saddened” by the allegations.

Loughlin, along with her husband Mossimo Giannuli and actress Felicity Huffman, are among some 50 people indicted in what federal authorities have called a racketeering scheme to help rich Americans get their children into elite universities, an investigation called “Operation Varsity Blues.”

In a 2017 video posted by Loughlin’s YouTube star daughter Olivia Jade Giannuli, which has resurfaced in wake of the college admissions scandal, the Fuller House actress jokes about how much she has spent on her daughter’s education.

“If you would have said, ‘England is my city,’ I would say, ‘Why did I pay all this money for your education?’” Loughlin joked.

“We’re going to leave it at that,” Olivia Jade replied.

Although it is unclear whether or not the social media star was aware of her parents’ involvement in the scandal, her booming Instagram and YouTube blogging business has taken a hit since the news broke.

Sephora severed ties with the teen and removed products from their makeup collaboration with her from their website. “After careful review of recent developments, we have made the decision to end the Sephora Collection partnership with Olivia Jade, effective immediately,” stated the makeup brand.

In addition, TRESemmé has also announced they are cutting ties with Olivia. “We take this very seriously and are no longer working with Olivia,” the company stated.

She and her sister Isabella Giannuli remain enrolled at USC, although it is unclear if they plan to return after the current spring break.

The college has said that they have “initiated a case-by-case review of current students and graduates who may be connected to the alleged scheme” and “will make informed decisions about those cases as the reviews are completed.”

Arrested and arraigned Wednesday in federal court in Los Angeles on conspiracy charges stemming from the nationwide investigation, Loughlin is currently out on a $1 million bail bond. She is set to appear in court next on March 29 for a preliminary hearing in Boston.

While the charges carry a sentence of potentially five years behind bars, it is not likely that Huffman or Loughlin will spend anywhere near that time in jail, if at all.
