Lorde Shuts Down Claims She Lip Synched During ‘Saturday Night Live’ Performance

Lorde took to Twitter to put an end to rumors that she was lip synching during her performance on Saturday Night Live over the weekend.

On Saturday evening, Lorde got on theSaturday Night Live stage to sing “Magnets,” which appears on Disclosure’s Caracal album that was released back in September. While Disclosure provided the beats behind her, Lorde delivered the lyrics impeccably – so impeccably that some believed she was lip-synching.

After getting wind of the lip-synch chatter, Lorde tweeted her fans and followers to reassure them that she had not and would not ever lip synch.

She also shared her gratitude for getting to sing alongside Disclosure and Sam Smith – who joined Disclosure for “Omen” – on the Saturday Night Live stage.
