Social media influencer and part-time professional wrestler Logan Paul admitted to walking out on Christopher Nolan’s film Oppenheimer.
On the latest episode of his podcast, ImPaulsive, Paul sat down to discuss the hit horror film Talk to Me with the sibling Australian filmmakers Danny and Michael Philippou. After disclosing that he found the thriller flick about spirits to be far too slow, the conversation veered into the recent biographical movie.
“I walked out of Oppenheimer,” said Paul. “I didn’t know what they were trying [to do]. ‘What are you doing?’ Everyone’s just talking. It’s just an hour and a half, 90 minutes, of talking, just talking, talking.”
The take briefly left the Philippou brothers, his co-host George Janko and likely many others, astonished.
Despite Paul’s opinion, many others disagree. Rotten Tomatoes gave an average rating of 8.6 out of 10, while Metacritic dolled out a score of 88 out of 100. Longtime movie critic Richard Roeper of the Chicago Sun-Times awarded Oppenheimer a full set of four out of four stars. He also described the film as “one of the best films of the 21st century.”

Oppenheimer has grossed $286.8 million in the United States and Canada alone. Worldwide, the film has raked in a total of $722.8 million office (as of August 22, 2023).
“It’s all exposition,” said Paul. “Nothing happened.”
However, Paul’s opinion might not be set in stone. He later mentioned that there was almost another walkout for a different film – Interstellar. The reasons given were similar – Paul was not hooked within the first 18 minutes of the movie.
Darcy continued, “[such 'Historic tension'] has resulted in headaches for the networks’ bosses.
