Rapper and actor LL Cool J has announced that he will be releasing a new album soon — and will not be going into retirement.
The rapper took to his Twitter to alert fans and the music world that he will be releasing a new album.
He tweeted, “Today I’m officially coming out of retirement. And starting a new album..studio time is set for 8pm..I’m gonna massacre the rap game!!” the NCIS: Los Angeles star then tweeted. “Oh because I’ve been doing this a long time I can’t have fun with this twitter game? Lol.”
The rapper also deleted a previous tweet that read: “Today I officially retired music,” he initially wrote. “Thank you for the love.”
A few hours later, he would return to tweet that it was all a joke.
The rapper previously had 14 albums appear on the Billboard 200 chart over his career.
