Lizzo will be embarking on her first tour in three years beginning this fall. This is in celebration of her upcoming album Special, which will be dropping July 15 and has already been tased with the single “About Damn Time.” She first announced the tour on Twitter and will be supported on the tour by the rapper Latto.

The artist’s 2019 release, Cuz I Love You, marked Lizzo’s breakthrough as a massive and undeniable pop star despite her performing consistently through most of the decade. Since the last album, she founded the shapewear company Yitty, and just premiered an Amazon original competition series Watch Out for the Big Grrrls. The concept for the show was that Lizzo wanted to find plus-sized dancers for an upcoming tour, so you may very well see the winners of that show onstage this year with Lizzo as well.
Lizzo first spoke about her next album with Variety in August 2021, and she called it “one of the most musically badass, daring and sophisticated bodies of work I’ve done to date.” With the quality of these singles, Special is sure to be a delight that will motivate plenty of people to go see it live.
