‘Little People, Big World’ Star Zach Roloff Undergoes Brain Surgery

Zach Roloff, 32, and one of the stars of the ongoing TLC reality series Little People, Big World, is recovering from emergency brain surgery.

Tori, Roloff’s wife, posted on Instagram that Roloff underwent shunt revision on Thursday. She wrote that after “a scary 72 hours” he’s doing well and recovering.

A shunt revision is a type of surgery that treats excess cerebrospinal fluid in the brain’s cavities. A hollow tube is surgically placed in the brain to drain the fluid to a different location in the body so that it can be absorbed.

The post includes a picture of Roloff with his head wrapped and monitor wires attached to his chest while lying in a hospital bed.

A second photo sees Roloff awake showing two thumbs up.

“I’m here praying that Zach’s recovery is quick and easy and that this will be our answered prayers to relieving his migraines!” Tori wrote. “You’re a freaking badass, Zach. You just had brain surgery… and handled it like a rockstar.”

Tori thanked friends, family members, supporters and the neurosurgeon team that treated Roloff.

Zach and Tori married in 2015 and have three children: Jackson Kyle, 5; Lilah Ray, 3 and Josiah Luke, 9 months.

Little People, Big World began in 2006 and finished its 24th season last month. The TLC show centers around the Roloff family, including parents Matt and Amy and their children Zach, Jeremy, Molly and Jacob.
