Matt and Amy Roloff, the Little People, Big World couple, are divorcing after 27 years of marriage.
The Roloff’s announced their divorce plans on Friday in a statement.
“After 27 years of marriage, it is with great sadness that we have come to the difficult decision to file for divorce,” reads the statement posted on their show’s website. “We are proud of what we have accomplished together including raising four wonderful children who have grown to become remarkable adults and building our strong and ongoing successful businesses.”
“Our kids and our ever-growing family, and the love and support we have for them, will be our priority, their statement continued. “We will continue to work together side by side in the daily responsibilities for our many current ventures. We would like to thank our family, friends, and all our fans for their continued support and understanding during this difficult time.”
Matt and Amy had announced their decision to live separately in an effort to mend their marriage in March 2014. In their divorce filing, they listed irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, according to TMZ.
“Though we have weathered many storms together, we recently made the tough decision to engage in a trial separation,” the Roloffs said in a joint statement at the time of their separation last year. “We sincerely appreciate the unwavering support, understanding and prayers from our family, friends and many fans.”
The erstwhile couple stars on Little People, Big World with their four children – twins Jeremy and Zack, 25, daughter Molly, 21, and son Jacob, 18. The show, which launched on TLC in 2006, will premiere its latest season this summer.
