Lindsay Lohan has returned to the music game with her new song “Back To Me” released on Thursday.
“I used to blame me when s–t got crazy/ I can’t think too much ’bout what they say/ And now these Sundays got me feeling like Mondays/ I know I drink too much, but it’s okay,” Lohan sings in the upbeat pop song.
“The song is about rediscovering and accepting oneself, shutting out the noise and moving forward and letting the past go. Living in the now,” she wrote on Instagram.
Last year, Lohan signed a record deal with Casablanca Records after her MTV show, Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club, was cancelled. She had signed a deal with Casablanca Records when she was 18-years-old. Under them she released the album Speak, in 2004, which featured her most popular song to date, “Rumors.” She also released the album A Little More Personal (Raw) under their label in 2005.

The Mean Girls actress hasn’t officially released music since her 2008 single, “Bossy.” Last fall, Lohan debuted a song called “Xanax” on her IGTV, but the song eventually disappeared from her page, and never made it to any music streaming services. Then, she said she would drop a full album at the end of February, but that never came to light. Fans are still waiting for a fresh release of “Xanax,” but seem to be content with “Back To Me” for now.
