Lisa Marie Presley‘s twin daughters have been placed in the care of California’s Department of Children and Family Services after allegations of child abuse.

Police in Beverly Hills have confirmed they received child abuse allegations involving the Presley family last summer. Their statement from the police comes after allegations of child abuse and neglect made by Lisa Marie Presley in a divorce filing against her estranged husband, Michael Lockwood.

Presley allegedly claimed to have found indecent photos and videos of children on a computer. After an investigation, detectives found that the allegations in question originated from Tennessee and called in the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to take over. The latter issued a statement on Saturday and said there were still investigating if a crime had taken place.

“I have no idea what else may be on those devices and fear that there are more and worse images and evidence in these un-analysed devices,” Presley said.

She and 55-year-old musician Lockwood married in 2006, with the singer filing for divorce last June, citing irreconcilable differences.

Finley and Harper Lockwood, eight, have reportedly been removed from the family home by social workers, and a trial date has been set for March to determine their future.
