Lisa Kudrow reprised her Friends character Phoebe Buffay to perform “Smelly Cat” with Taylor Swift onstage at the Los Angles Staples Center.
“This singer, she’s only ever played in coffee houses before. She’s never played in a big venue like this. Please, make her feel welcome. Her name is Phoebe Buffay,” Swift said as Kudrow made her way out, acoustic guitar in hand.
When Swift tried her voice on the first verse of “Smelly Cat,” Kudrow interrupted her to give some advice: “You have to really feel the lyrics.”
Following the performance, Kudrow took to Twitter to thank Swift for the invite, calling her, “THE best person,” she’s ever met.
On Wednesday night, Swift was also joined on stage by her close pal Selena Gomez and Justin Timberlake. “I have no way to deal with this. Justin Timberlake is the BEST,” Swift captioned a video clip of their performance on Instagram.
