Lisa Bonet Denies Tweeting Vague Messages About Former Costar Bill Cosby
Lisa Bonet, who played one of Bill Cosby’s daughters on The Cosby Show, has denied authoring the tweets attributed to her about the embattled comedian.
Lisa Bonet’s Fake Bill Cosby Tweet
A Twitter account that appeared to be Bonet’s tweeted over the weekend, “According to the karma of past actions, one’s destiny unfolds, even though everyone wants to be so lucky. Nothing stays in the dark 4ever!”
At the time, it was believed that the tweet was in reference to Cosby and the slew of sexual assault allegations that have surfaced over the last few weeks – particularly the bombshell revelation from Janice Dickinson, who claims he drugged her in the 80s. However, shortly after the tweet went viral, Bonet’s manager refuted its authenticity.
“Lisa Bonet has no social media of any kind,” the manager told People. “Any posts made in her name were made by impersonators with unverified accounts. She also has no comment on the ongoing story.”
Earlier in the renewed scandal, there were reports that Raven-Symone, who was a child during her stint on The Cosby Show, had been a victim of Cosby’s abuses. Symone quickly took to Instagram to distance herself from the allegations concerning her former TV step-grandfather.
“I was NOT taken advantage of by Mr. Cosby when I was on the Cosby Show!” she posted on her Instagram. “I was practically a baby on that show and this is truly a disgusting rumor that I want no part of! Everyone on that show treated me with nothing but kindness. Now keep me out of this!”
