Lindsay Lohan’s Lawsuit Against ‘Grand Theft Auto’ Dismissed

Lindsay Lohan’s lawsuit against the producers of Grand Theft Auto has been dismissed by a New York court.

Lindsay Lohan Lawsuit Dismissed

A New York state of appeals court dismissed Lohan’s lawsuit Thursday. In her lawsuit, Lohan had claimed that the producers of Grand Theft Auto had used her likeness in a video game. However, the panel of judges in the Manhattan Appellate Division, did not find evidence of that, according to CBS. The court ruled that Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. did not Lohan’s “name, portrait or picture.”

Lohan had filed the lawsuit against the gaming producers over the character Lacey Jonas in Grand Theft Auto V that she believed had both her physical features and voice. In the game, Lacey is a young Hollywood starlet who needs the player to rescue her from paparazzi. “I’m really famous! I didn’t do anything – this is my average commute,” Lacey screams while trying to evade the paps.

“The portraits of the Plaintiff [Lohan] incorporated her image, likeness, clothing, outfits, Plaintiff’s clothing line products, ensemble in the form of hats, hair style, sunglasses, jean shorts worn by the Plaintiff that were for sale to the public at least two years,” read the lawsuit that was filed back in 2014.

It is unknown if Lohan plans to appeal the court’s ruling. She has yet to comment on the matter.
