Lindsay Lohan is hoping that her first name has enough star power to drive her career to the next level. The 24-year-old actress is allegedly taking a cue from Madonna, Prince and Diddy, by losing her last name. "Lindsay is dropping the Lohan and just going by Lindsay," mother Dina told Pop Eater. Considering the amount of drama her father's name has been entangled with, it's not a huge surprise that Lindsay, or her family would want to make a clean break. “Plus, me and [younger daughter] Ali will be officially changing our last names back to my maiden name, Sullivan," Dina added.
Apparently it was a recent E-Trade commercial that sealed the deal for Lindsay. The now infamous ad stars the E-Trade talking babies, who referred to "that milkaholic Lindsay," and aired during the 2010 Super Bowl. While Lohan sued the company last March—before settling out of court and dropping the case—this reference has now led the actress to believe she only needs one L to get noticed. —EMILY EXTON
