Lindsay Lohan implied that she came into contact with Whitney Houston’s body bag while working at the LA Coroner’s Office as part of her court-ordered community service.
In a recent interview to promote her production of Speed-the-Plow, Lohan opened up about her time at the Los Angeles County Dept. of Coroner in 2011 and 2012, implying she had helped the handling Houston’s body bag.
“[It was] F’d up and inappropriate – because a lot of other people were meant to do it, and they were like: ‘No, they can’t handle it. Lohan can.’ It’s different for me than it would be for other people – like, no one would really have to work at the morgue in LA and roll a body bag for Whitney Houston,’” Lohan said.
Lohan went on to describe her time working at the morgue, saying she learned to distance herself from the work. “I know it sounds really dark and strange, but I thought it would be a lot worse. I kind of regulated a lot of it. I’d tell people: ‘You didn’t fold that sheet properly,’ because I’m OCD with folding,” Lohan explained.
The Coroner’s Office released a statement denying Lohan had ever specifically done work regarding Whitney Houston’s death, saying that there was “no truth to the story, which had other factual errors as well. Ms. Lohan may well have cut and rolled plastic for us (which we used in lieu of body bags), but not specifically for any particular case.”
Lohan has not responded to the Coroner’s Office’s comments.
In her interview, Lohan also expressed her desire to work to gain back a place in Hollywood, something she is doing with Speed-the-Plow: “I like the idea of being able to fight for what I lost, essentially. I lost a lot of…I wouldn’t say…I don’t think ‘respect is the word…trust from a lot of people. And I don’t mind gaining that back.”
