Lindsay Lohan was traveling from London to New York when she claims she was “racially profiled” at the airport because of her headscarf.

She described the incident on Good Morning Britain, saying she was stopped by an airport employee, who “opened my passport and saw ‘Lindsay Lohan’ and started apologizing, but then said: ‘Please take off your headscarf.'”

After recounting the incident, Lohan wondered, “how would another woman who doesn’t feel comfortable taking off her headscarf feel?”

Rumors have been surrounding the actress about switching her faith to Islam, but the actress has denied it. She was seen carrying a Quran under her arm, but has said she simply finds “solace” studying the text. “I do study it, nothing is confirmed yet.”

The actress turned activist also had been in Turkey meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. She said she wore a headscarf while in the country out of “personal respect.”
