Lindsay Lohan, 26, has been arrested after allegedly punching a woman in the face at a Manhattan nightclub.

Lohan and Tiffany Eve Mitchell, 28, reportedly got into an altercation at Avenue nightclub, located in the Chelsea section of the city. Lohan was taken into custody at around 4:00 a.m. Mitchell left the 10th Precinct at around 7:15 a.m. She was not charged.

This is only the latest legal problem for the actress. This past September, Lohan and a congressional aide allegedly got into a fight over photos the aide had on his phone. The case was later dropped. Lohan was also accused of hitting a man with her car outside another nightclub in the city. She was not charged.

Lohan’s father, Michael, was disappointed to hear about his daughter’s latest kerfuffle with the law, calling out her hard-partying mother. “Again, it’s ALL on Dina," he said in a text to the New York Daily News. "The ones that care are the ones (Lindsay) hurts the most! She is in a dark place, it’s in God’s hands.”

Lohan received a desk appearance ticket for misdemeanor assault and is expected back in court on Jan. 11. It’s likely that she will be charged with third degree assault. Lohan is also on probation in California, as a result of misdemeanor theft when she stole a $2,500 necklace from a jewelry store in Venice Beach. Lohan also had a car accident in June in which she reportedly lied about the accident. She could face jail time if a judge feels she violated her probation.
