Lindsay Lohan accidentally told her Instagram followers “You’re an A–” when she posted a message in Arabic she believed said “You’re Beautiful.”

Lohan’s Instagram faux pas happened on Tuesday, when the actress shared what she believed to be an inspirational photo message to her 3.5 million followers. She also tweeted out a link to the image with the message “Habibi,” a term of endearment in Arabic.

The photo featured Arabic writing with the phrase “You’re beautiful” written directly below. No doubt Lohan thought the message was a translation of the Arabic, but that was not the case, as many Instagram users pointed out.

The Arabic actually translates to “You’re an a–” – or, technically, “You’re a donkey.” No doubt the photo was created to dupe gullible English speakers. Luckily, as many Twitter users pointed out, it wasn’t a tattoo, and Lohan was easily able to delete the image from her account.

Lohan has not commented on the mistake, but fellow celebrity Kelly Osbourne joked about the photo on Twitter, using the hashtag “#YouAreADonkey.”
