Lily James, who plays the titular role in Cinderella, looked elegant on the red carpet at the film’s screening in Milan.
James, 25, wore a tea-length, sleeveless crimson dress with a high-collar for the premiere with textured detailing at the waist. She wore strappy Christian Louboutin “Viennana” heels and kept her accessories to a minimum with a slim gold bracelet and tiny hoop earrings.
On the red carpet, James, who is dating Doctor Who alum Matt Smith, posed with her Cinderella costar – Game of Thrones’ Richard Madden.
James, who is best known for playing Lady Rose MacClare on Downton Abbey, recently admitted that she didn’t actually wear the glass slippers made out of Swarovski crystal featured in Cinderella.
“My foot was actually CGI’d into the glass slipper,” James told Glamour. “It was made out of Swarovski crystal, and I was always terrified I’d drop it! I have big, ugly feet, so luckily I had a foot double.”
Cinderella hits theaters in the U.S. March 13.
