Lil Wayne suffered two seizures mid-flight en route to California from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Monday, forcing his private plane to make two emergency landings in Nebraska.

Lil Wayne Seizures

Lil Wayne’s plane first made an emergency landing in Nebraska at around 2:30 p.m., the Omaha Airport Authority confirmed to E! News. An ambulance and a rescue fire department responded to the scene, but Lil Wayne refused treatment and had the plane take off and continue its trip to California. However, the rapper suffered a second seizure, requiring a second emergency landing.

The second emergency landing occurred in Nebraska at around 4:00 p.m. Though Wayne managed to walk off the plane, he was then transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

Despite the health scare, Lil Wayne’s team has reassured the public that the rapper is in fair health. “We can confirm that he did experience two minor seizures yesterday. Under the guidance of his own doctors, he is now in stable condition and good spirits,” his rep says. “He thanks his fans for their everlasting support, prayers and well wishes.”

Lil Wayne has a history of seizures. In 2013, it was believed that he was near death after suffering a series of seizures that forced him to be hospitalized in the intensive care unite at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

“This wasn’t my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh…I have had a bunch of seizures, you just never hear about them,” Wayne told Power 106’s DJ Felli Fel at the time. “My heart rate went down to 30 percent. I have people around me who know how to handle it. This time was real bad because I had three back to back and the third one was so bad.”
